What a pity! Smile was the younger ( much younger!) of the two. 
Ismail has dedicated a poem to Smile. And, Smile wrote a piece
admiring one of Ismai's poems. Enough of this confusion.I do not
want to add more confusion to the confusion that's already there!

reference is to his famous short story), is famous for his short stories and 
abstract poetry. He is also one of the foremost exponents of 'Haiku' in 
Telugu poetry. His total output is relatively small, but is of high 
quality. His short story, 'khaaLee seesaalu', first published in late 60s 
has a place among the best short stories written in Telugu. Late 
Tripuraneni Sreenivas published an anthology of Smile's poetry - 
okha'DE'.---"

The TANA publication of maccu tunakalu ( poetry collection) has poems
from both; Ismail and Smile ( Smile's poem is from okha'DE.')

     
 "---Smile was at last year's TANA Conference in Chicago, where his 
short-story collection 'khaaLee seesaalu' was inaugurated. TANA 
distributed that collection, but the supply is exhausted. A few additional

aamadaM ceTTus at the TANA Book Inauguration!) of introducing Smile
and his works at the TANA meet. Yes. I still have a few copies of
