Wow! Nice to know that you also liked this poem! When I attended
the ashTaavadhaanam in Bay Area (incidentally, it was on the day
I landed in SFO, ie., july 21st) nAgaphaNi Sarma gaaru elaborated on
exactly same padyam; I was so impressed by this gem of thought that at
the end of the program, I requested Sarma gaaru to write this padyam
down for me as his autograph and he obliged. Here is the text for
this poem as deciphered from his hurried writing:
naiva vyAkaraNaj~na mEti pitaram na bhrAtaram tArkikam
mImAsA nipuNam napunsakamiti j~nAtvA nirastArara
dUrAt sa~mkutEva gaCChati puna@h ChanDAla vatu ChAndasam
kAvyAlankaraNamj~na mEva kavitA kanyA vRNIti swanam.
Feel free to make corrections to the above text, and ah, blame my
lack of Sanskrit knowledge as well as Sarma gaari complex caligraphy
for any lapses!
Suresh. "Either MNPS's mood wasn't good or mine, the ashTAvadhAnam
here in Bay Area was rather disappointing!"
