I have somehow always associated avadhaanam with concurrency and
dhaaraNa. Your explanation answered my question. Thank you.
During the time of recent Hyderabad sahasraavadhaanam Legendary
veeNaa vidwaan chiTTi baabu passed away, and avadhaani gaaru was
asked for his reaction. I dont remember his exact words, but
taatparyamEmiTanTE, saraswatee dEvi tana veeNa paatabaDipOyindani
ciTTibaabunu tana daggariki rappincukundaTa.
Aandhra prabha reported on the highlights of the event daily.
