Stirring the hornet's nest (for once, I did my share too...:-)) with what in
someones' opinion is a 'kukavita' or 'sentimental' outburst or whatever, I
would like to answer ONLY those points raised which I find are sensible
enough. I think ONLY those who can come out and spell their name openly and
who value discussion at an academic level deserve an answer.
And for all those who are offended or seem to be offended with the sentiments
expressed there in, my answer is -- I DID NOT try to demean the GREAT
REVOLUTIONARY POETS but was only pointing to the primary responsibility of a
kavi. A POET is a CITIZEN first. 'kavi' anEdi samAjamlO oka padavi kAdu,
bAdhyata gala jIvanAniki oka pratIka ani ceppa dalacukonnAnu. Looks like,
the attempts were not completely successful..:-) I respect and admire SRI SRI
and otehr so called viplava kavulu for their literary values but it is NOT
a must that I should like every sentiment expressed by every one and I don't
expect the same from you also. I know that everyone of us have our own set of
sentiments and opinions and I did not mean to hurt anybody's nor did I try
for it, as misunderstood by others. (I agree that my P.S. note was some what
more - seriously phrased but was not ill-motivated). I appreciate any and all
responses and criticism at this academic level.
rAmArAo gArU !! I am not confused between those poor and those affected by
hunger and destitution and those who are very sensitive to poetry etc.. All
I am trying to portray is the effect of this kind of poetry and the suggestive
attitude that puts the weapon right into the hands of the helpless( it makes
them NOT TO THINK before they ACT and that is DEFINITELY NOT what is
anticipated from a responsible POET )

This is what exactly I expected and this kind of a response is much
appreciated than the kind of criticism aimed at a personal level. Oka
kavita, oka racana manaku nacccananta mAtrAna adi vyaktigata virOdham
kAdu, kAkUDadu for the simple point that the kavita may not have been
written to please the critics' soul, in the first place.
I certainly welcome this kind of discussion.

I agree, but the topic of discussion is the direction of viplavam in some of
the so called viplava sAhityam and its aftermath in the society. The point is
that 'sidhdhAntAlu / principles' enta goppavainA AcaraNa lO AlOcana lOpincina
nADu vATi paramArtham ceDutundi.
