I haven't had such a hearty laugh in a long while. [Actually, I did
laugh this seriously recently at a literary soiree that I attended.]
It is a long time since I protested the things that are not to my
liking. I sit still and let the urge pass. This time, I just had to
write.

This poem smacks of "kukavi ninda" of the prabandha times. It seems
that in those days, a part of defining who you are seems to be whom
you don't like. Since this is a target-less "ninda", the oppenent can
easily be demonized as a straw man and demolished to hearts
content. Sadly, this poem falls in the same category. And, the cliche
ridden PS is no less sanctimonious.

While being out on a limb, let me share a snippet of poem " mee
talapulu bhagnam chEstaam, tea kappulO eegai chastaam!!" [Full copy
will be posted on request.] Good poetry, like good literature makes
you think, and make you act, perhaps. That is not the fault of the
poetry.

Or, may be I misunderstand. I mean, here, on side people being
sensitive and all, despite being hungry etc, and on the other side,
these bad, evil poets telling them that it is not divine retribution,
or their fault that they are like that.

On oneside people, despite being poor and dispossed, working on being
content, and looking for happiness in their limited lives, and on the
otherside these bad, evil poets with stories to tell, and discontent
to stir.

Of course, there is no contest!

 > O ! kavI !! <The poem snipped>

I would be willing to coment on it, but I am not sure if I am stirring
discontent and telling things that are not meant to be heard!!
