i have a suggestion to make in this regard. why not allow authors
to go back and edit their contributions. ofcourse, not all will have
access to telnet (that includes me), but still many of us might like to
trim down a lot of mails we wrote. most of the mails are usually of a
short term value, written in response to a ongoing discussion. the authors
themselves can decide what is required in the archives and what's not.
ofcourse, all this is possible only if the security regulations
allow such permissions.
