Dear TELUSAers,
As I am away on very interesting long Jury duty, I could not comment on
Avadhanam in time. I had gone through all the detailed analysis written by
so many friends. Most of them did a very good job. Dr. ChittiMurthy garu
did a very commendable job for arranging Satavadhanam.

My comments are in brief.

1. On the whole Satavadhanam is a grand success and Avadhani Naga Phani Sarma
   garu is really great. The logistics are excellent except some minor things.

2. The organizers preselected samasyas made the pruchhakas as figure heads.
   When so many talented pruchhakas available, I do not think pre-selection
   is a good idea.

3. It would have been very nice, if the president had cut down his speech and
   his personal comments on pruchhaka's samasyas and some other speeches.

4. All the kids who were allotted for vyastashari should have been given
   proper training to read that simple line instead of walking to Avadhani.
   Still, I do not understand why such a capable Pillalamarri Aravinda also
   went to Avadhani with her samasya.

5. Avadhani is capable,knowledgeble, humorous and rose to the occasions, but
   his Madyamavati and Mohan ragams all the time are little bit monotonous.

          COMPARISON between NAGAPHANI SARMA and MEDASANI MOHAN

   I think, it is appropriate to compare Mr. Medasani Mohan with Naga Phani
   sarma garu at this time.
   Last year, Dr. Chitti Murthy garu arranged Medasani Mohan's Astavadhanam
   in his house. He worked so hard to gather 138 people for avadhanam and
   raised money for him. His avadhanam, I think, was not a success. Most of
   the attendies disappointed for his behaviour and performance. Pillalamarri
   RamaKrishna, Vissavajjula Prabhakar and Bandaru Rajarao garlu also attended
   for the avadhanam as pruchhakas. He tried to downgrade the pruchhakas in 
   the beginning and some times at later stages. When he failed, he looked for
   some silly reason in order to cover up his failure and some times his friends
   came to his rescue including the president. After his trip, in his news
   release back in A.P., he did not even mention New York's avadhanam, even
   though it had large gathering except Chicago. That itself shows his level
   of dignity and behaviour.

     I think, avadhani Naga Phani Sarma garu is better in many aspects.
