This may be a minor point but the popular notion is that gOdaa dEvi was an 
incarnation of bhoodEvi, not lakshmi.

Neither aamuktamaalyada nor other books on tiruppaavai I could refer to mention 
the name of vishNuchitta's wife other than acknowledging her existence!  On the 
other hand, the names of gOdaa's friends are prominently mentioned (EkaavaLi, 
maraaLika, hariNi, manoj~na, and sragWiNi).  According to aamuktamaalyada, it is 
these friends who help gOdaa get ready for her wedding.
