     I liked the theme and outrage of the author in expressing the agony
of oppressed and suppressed sections of society. But the above line
is not only incorrect, but even insulting the very same sections of
society the author wants to argue for. Karna was never given
half-kingdom as charity, and furthermore Karna never begged for anything
as charity in the first place. In fact, if there is a glorious character
that stands as a model for giving charity in our entire epics, it is
only Karna. daana paruDainaTuvanTi KarnuDu, aMgaraajyaanni bhikshagaa

    aaSayam goppadayinaa, tappulaina pOlikalatO daanini samartincaDamu
