No! No! Three times no.
All poetry that requires interpretation isn't bad.
Afterall TS Eliot's required some interpretation.
There are quite a few Telugu kavulu who learnt/borrowed
from the 'European mainstream'. Bairagi and Vegunta
are but two names to quote.
The rule that poetry SHOULD NOT require any interpretation
is rigid as it seeks to claim some immunity from changes in times
and social sensibilities.
