I came across this piece of information in a
recent issue of Economic Times.

#Modern Indian Novels in Translation# is a project
by MacMillan. They plan to publish in 5 years
about 50-60 novels from 11 Indian languages. Price
range Rs.45-115.

Translations published so far:

Bharatipura (Kannada) - U.R.Ananta Murthy
Pandavapuram (Malayalam) - Sethu
Outcaste (Malayalam) - Matampu Kumjukuttan

Lamps in the whirlpool (Tamil) - Rajam Krishnan
Henceforth (Gujarati) - Harindra Dave
Night of the Half Moon (Punjabi) - Gurdial Singh
The song of the loom (Hindi) - Abdul Bismillah
Woodworm (Bengali) - Shirshendu Mukopadhyay
