In my pre-university days, I had to study a book called
'mahOdayam' as a non-detailed text-book in Telugu. The author's name
escapes me for the moment, but he was a Telugu lecturer. The subject
matter for that book is also the writing of bhaaratam, agaisnt the
backdrop of the conflicts between jainism and sanaatana dharma and the
relationship between vEngi chaaLukyaas and chOLaas.
