Sambasivarao gaaru has forgotten the 1995 TANA Conference, and still
harping on about the 1993 conference. TANA brought a team of burrakatha
artists, the bhadrakaaLi troupe, and a pouraaNika naaTakam troupe for the
95 conference, and underwrote the expenses for their tour of several US
cities. It is completely another matter that these troupes played to very
small audiences in most of those cities (TANA can't be blamed for that,
can it be?). Even the infamous 1993 Conference featured people and programs
like sObhaaraaju, sampat kumaar, chaayaadEvi, ABK mOhan raaju, kaaLeepaTnam
raaamaaraavu, bhuvanavijayamu, saraswati vijayamu, lambaaDi_nRUtyamu etc.
Sorry that he has missed /forgotten those programs.
