It appears as though VVR has taken offense at my possible insinuation that
the song penned by gaddar may not only follow a "structure", but an
established one at that!

Any "song" that has a prayer of singability; by the populace, not by
the well-versed in music ('cos then they'll elongate and compress
syllables in their own way), has to perforce fit in a structure,
whether the folks who are out to "break the backs of chandas" like it
or not. And most, if not all such structures have already been classified
in a very systematic way.

Of course, it is possible for someone to write something in a structure,
without actually being aware that it is a well-established structure,
with a name, a gaNa-vinbhajana, and all that baggage. Perhaps if that
were to be known, the thing would never be written! Such seems to be the
instinctive reaction of some people!

Anybody know the words to the ditty "sarigancu ceera gaTTee ...",
and who wrote it?
