I gathered from the padyaalu. But I feel you have chosen a wrong
example to make your point. This may be one of the few poems by
Sreenaadha with a good number of acca telugu words in it.
" pancaarincina " does not seem like a sanskrit derivative.
" lEta ", "kempu+ciguru+aaku", "mOvi","bomma" are telugu words.
Granted "anushTintunO","nisidhatvartam","aasphintunO" are hard to
gather without a knowledge of sanskrit vocabulary, but though
"payOdharamu" is a sanskrit word its frequent occurance in telugu
padyaalu makes it an understandable word (to one who has read a good
deal of those poems) and I could roughly gather the drift of it.
There are a large number of very famous poems you could have used
instead.
how about :
aTa jani kaance bhoomi suruDambara cumbi Sira SSara jjharee
paTala muhur muhur luTada bhanga taranga mRdanga niswana
sphuTa naTanaanukoola pariphulla kalaapa kalaapi jaalamun
kaTaka carat-karENu kara kampita saalamu Seeta Sailamun !!!
acca telugu padaalu renDE renDu - "aTa", "jani". migilina
padyam mottam lO ardhamayyE sanskRta padaalunnaa moTTa modaTi
saari cadivina sagaTu telugu paaThakuDiki padya bhaavam ardham
kaadu anaDaMlO sandEham lEdu.
What the poet is trying to do here is describe the Himalayas
(with a lot of hyperbole) as seen by Pravarakhya. This padyam
opens the third chapter (I believe) of Manu Charitra, of
Allasani Peddana.
I will not go into the argument as to whether it can be
called telugu poetry or not but will confess my liking for
this poem. It sounds nice doesn't it (;-) and has nice running
quality to it ! YMMV ! ( a newly acquired acronym !)
