Objection your honor!! ;-) No! I don't periodically or *unreasonably*
castigate those I admire. Whether I praise or criticize a person, place or
a thing, I don't usually write anything that I don't think right. Atleast,
I don't want to. (And I tend to apologize, iff what I wrote doesn't
reflect what I think).
Thought, I should clarify this; otherwise, if I say yaddanpUDi writes
trash, then you will all conclude that I am fan of yaddanapUDi ;-)
Ha, let me use this post to clarify my stance on SrISrI and Marxism also.
Me judice, SrISrI understood Marxism like no other talented telugu poet
has; IMO, he understood Marxism as much as pOtana understood Hindu dharma,
and annamayya understood viSishTaadvaitam. (I apologize if I gave a
different impression in my earlier notes. My complaint was more about
the philosophical implications of Marxism, but that is a non-issue here).
Having grown-up in interior telangaaNa dists and having known families
who have been languishing in the feudatory(?) slavery for generations,
I can see where the admiration for SrISrI and Marxism comes from. Do
we still need Marxism?-- my answer is "No". But YMMV.
Regards,
Suresh.
