Here is a proposal: How about we put together a list of English books that we

start putting together a book in telugu about good writing. Then we will each

Excellent idea. I am very interested in Ramarao garu's proposal, and will
support all work towards its realization. The first part of his proposal,
about publishing a book in telugu is a very intelligent idea. If it
happens, it will be a valuable contribution. I wonder if 'adopting a
school' part is feasible, but that comes later. In addition to making a
list of English books and quoting from them, we could write about the art of
writing ourselves (i. e., offer our own vision of what good writing is and
how it should be). Of course, any such posts/writings should themselves
strive to exemplify the art they preach. As others on this net said
earlier, many of us had opportunities to learn/hone our writing skills in
graduate school. So most of us can contribute. English books on writing
typically include several examples of writing. The proposed telugu book
also needs such excerpts. When I think about writers of good nonfiction in
telugu who are writing now, Balagopal comes to mind. His prose is superb.
I'd like to hear about some more examples.
