I am not so sure of this! I read a sort of review of bhaagavatam (by
sinaare? boy, this is going to land me in trouble with Rama) in which the
author quotes this poem to illustrate pOtana's command on the telugu nuDi,
and the appropriateness of usage: the way 'puTTillu' is so dear to women,
that they swear on the property of their brothers rather than the property
of their husbands! I think I like this explanation better
