1. I largely agree with Sri PR's comments. However, I am not sure how effective
"exasperated" pleas for civility are. As this group is born out of SCIT,
and as the emphasis seems to be on cultivating more and more TELUSAers from
the SCIT population (as shown by the formation of telusa-scit), avoiding
some SCIT characteristics from entering TELUSA is a formidable task. I laud
Sri PR's attempts in this direction.
2. I (and hopefully some others) feel that the discussions of late on TELUSA
have become person-to-person retorts, bordering on the boring for a third
party. After leaving SCIT a couple of years ago due to similar preoccupation
with "tarkam" there, I joined this group mainly to learn about Telugu
sAhityam. I used to read all the posts with interest in the beginning.
It is no longer the case now, as most (70-80%?) of the posts have nothing
of general interest.
I hope Dr. PR's plea is taken in the right way by members of the group.
