Two names that immediately comes to my mind are Nyapati Raghavarao and
Buddiga Subbarayan. Every one knows these two through their books, AIR
programmes and children's magazine "baala". Also, add Nyapati Kameswari's
name to the above two. I have come across a good number of books on "baala
gEyaalu/pillala paaTalu" over time. velagaa venkaTappayya's _pillala paaTalu_
was once one of my favourites. Another book is P. Saraswati's _jaanapada
saahityam - pillala paaTalu_. Theres one from SK Univ., Anantapur
(the title is missing me.). For a good review of this subject pl. refer
to Subbarayan's article in aandhrajyOti's _rajata kamalam_ (1987).
One should also thank AIR for their contributions.

P. S I am n't going in to details about the songs in general. Over decades a
good no. of them were recorded.
P.P.S A while ago there was a long discussion about the word "sabhikulu". Now
I receieved a 21 page (only!) long article on this word. Gidugu
Ramamurthy in his _aandhra panDita bhishakkula bhaashaabhEshajam_
literally dissected and analysed the word, quoting examples from
various sources.
