My two cents worth: 1) Long messages in transliterated text are
dificult to read, more so when the transliteration scheme is at odds with
traditional English reading schemes. 2) There is no uniformity in the
transliteration schemes. We identified three main schemes in use in this
group, with many variations from individual posters.

Until such time that we all can send and read messages displayed in
Telugu, it is easier to use English (except for short passages, quotations,
proper nouns, and non-translatable idioms) than sending entire messages
in the transliterated Telugu.
