What I meant was that we publish a list of books (I was implying only
reference material level books - with a broad definition what that
includes) available with various people. Such as:
Uday Bhaskar - xxx by Tilak, 123 by SrISrI, ...
Palana - jAnapada gEyAlu, sUrya rAyAndhra nighanTuvu, ...
....
Kalasapudi - all the above!
With the idea/hope that when someone wants a verse from a Satakam, a
paragraph from a famous speech, (the conclusion of ) a story by
madhrAntakam rAjAram, ...
a mail may be sent to these people, and they may respond suitably.
I was not thinking of putting the contents on the Web. For the limited
purpose above, is it necessary/advisable to obtain copyright permission?

(ignoring the chuckles) May be not. Any stuff typed into a computer has a
way of existing in several versions, on several sets of floppies and hard
disks. If he pursues this, he may be able to get another set of floppies.
Did you get any idea of how many floppies? Perhaps the stuff is better put
on a zip disk.
BTW, he is coming for TANA. Don't know how long before and after that he is
planning to stay in the country. Looks like a good opportunity for literary
circles around the country, interested in VSN, to arrange lectures. If
anybody looking at this wants to pursue it, I will give them further
information.
