Since we have moved from less trivial stuff like chandas, kandam and
kaavyalakshnaas, to more important stuff like gongura; few years ago, I
learned that a couple from Assam were growing loads of Gongura in the
Gaithersburg, Maryland area which you can go and pick up yourself - at a
$1.00 a pound. I learned that Assamiies eat that too not as a chetney but
cooked with dal. There are apparently two varieties in Gongura, only one
can be used for nilava paccadi. The other for day to day cooking.

Any Marylander's who still know wherein Gaithersburgh they grow and sell.
It may be better to watch the movie with the real fresh gongura paccadi in
our plate than just talk about it!
