Thanks to the discussion I added one more term to my vocabulary "punTi koora". Not being from Hyderabad, I never heard this term. Some time ago I mentioned a unique Telnagana (unique Karimnagar?) term "vayyi" for a book. Another term I heard in villages as a kid is "singaDi" for rainbow. Don't know whether it is listed in dicitonaries. Ramana
