here's the explanation you wanted to the best of my knowledge.
Scene: The heroine came out of the nuptial bedroom in the morning. The
'celikattelu' are talking among themselves about her appearance.
pallavi: aame ciguraaku kindi pedavi meeda astavyastam gaa kasturi anTukuni
unnadE - adi evarO naayika tana priyuniki raasina prEmalEkha kaadu kadaa!
(The metaphor: love letters were written by heroines on tender leaves, with
impressions of nails (gOLLu)).
caraNam: cakOrapu kannulunna cinnadaani kanu kosalu errabaari unnaayi,
endukO gamanincAraTE, celulaaraa! (raatrantaa kreeDincinaa, inkaa tanivi
teeraka, tellavaari atanni viDici veLLipOvaalE anna digulutO) prANESwaruni
divya mOhana vigrahAnni ASagaa tamalO nimpukOvalani paDina (tana) coopula
baaNaalu, (ayishTamgaa) tempukuni raavaTam valla, (kanTilO) cimmina netturu
kaadu kadaa!
(metaphors:
1. she is 'cakOrAkshi' because her eyes drink in only the 'moon' like form
of her hero.
2. 'coopula toopulu' is a standard metaphor in romantic poetry.
underlying implication: the eyes got red because of sleepless night - but
the redness was attributed the final longing look heroine bestows on the
hero, but had to reluctantly tear away!)
The word in the last line is 'niluvuna perukaga', meaning 'amaantamgaa
pekilistE).
There was another caraNam also, which I can not recall at the moment. I'll
write when I remember it. Or, if you know it, please refresh my memory.
