One of my favorite shorts stories by raavi Saastri deals with the
theme that Palaka gaaru addressed in his gaplika and this essay. It is
called 'aakhari daSa', and involves three conversations: one at the end
of the kurkshEtra war, one during the demise of the Mughal dynasty, and
the third on the eve of August 15, 1947. The place of the conversation:
Delhi (hastinaapura). The gist of each of the conversations: Things are
going to be so bad that the end of the world (country) must be here soon.
