Sometime back I read an article about our National Anthem (Janagana
mana). It was quit a contraversial one which goes on saying like the
adhnayaka refered in this as the then governer general (or somebody of
that stature) who was visiting India. The aim of the author in this
article was to prove that Janaganamana is antinational and doesnt
deserve to be the national anthem.
I dont want to start a discussion on this. But, after reading that I
started thinking about whether any anti-national (believe me I havent
concluded that Janagana mana is anti national) anti-freedom struggle
literature has ever been produced in Telugu. One need not mention about
how much our writers have influenced the freedom strugle or the national
feeling through their writings. Now the question is however rare it
is, is there any literary meterial prose or poetry written in telugu
in support of British ?
