Children by birth
While squatting facing plates to eat
Destroyed cotton crop
In front of your eyes pops up
Like a ferocious dream - a hard truth!
Striving with all your strength
Clenching between your teeth
Shoving your life straight
Fruitlessly your abdication
Being eaten away by leaf-cutter to digestion!
Like eating ice cream desserts
Hairy caterpillars in heaps
Like mountains
Are about to smack your life!
With adulterated insecticides
Rogues who strike your eyes with pungent powder of chilies
Are all free at large
As VIPs on the society's stage!
To encounter a problem, with vigor
Till the end, you endeavor
For those who gave you the very birth
You pledged your life to Kabuliwallah in faith!
In spite
You know not this in society
As felons' statute
Amidst rotten politics
Caught in predatory incursions
As an ensnared suckling calf
By halter, you hang your life!
After news papers roar
"A reaction to cotton crop that was ruined
Fourteen peasants committed suicide"
After witnessing your life evaporating as vapor
"Tax Abatement" - Rulers declare!
Crop-destroying insects
Life-sucking beasts
Are still wandering at large in fields
Sellers of adulterated pesticides
Are felons free on streets
Leaders begging for your vote in elections
Are drowned in the waters of switching political parties
To battle opposite groups
They sharpen their swords
To corroborate your death as a murder, heinous
We don't have hearts!
Oh! Peasant Big Brother!
There are no laws
Here, to catch those-
There are no courts
Here, to prosecute those-
Who snatched your life - Big Brother!
Other than tears
Of your infants
Squatting in front of empty plates
Exist no evidences!
