namastE!

First I thank Sri Prabhakar for posting the complete song which I was
struggling to recall.

I believe that our telugu song is not an adaptation of Solomon Grundy.
Maybe we will be able to find songs on the seven days in a week in many
languages.

Well, sometime back, I chanced upon the following kidsong in a second
grade telugu text.

mAla kunna dokka chinna gorre pilla
dAni bocchu chUDabOte tella tella

Not exact words but similar and goes on to say that "everywhere that
mAla goes, the lamb was sure to go" (of course in telugu). A clean
translation of the popular rhyme we all know. I did not feel happy to
see that in our elementary telugu text book. I guess we have enough
original telugu material that can teach telugu as well as telugutanamu
to our kids.
