Mr. K. R. Prasad and Mr. Sahasrabuddhe from Bombay are in this country,
and would be touring, giving Sitar/Flute Jugalbandi concerts.
Rohini Prasad came before, and played in several cities. He is a talented
Sitar player, a student Ustad Imrat Khan, brother of Ustad Vilayat Khan.
They would be interested in gauging interest from different cities.
In addition to playing Sitar, Prasad can also sing Hindi and Telugu
songs, accompanying himself on the Keyboard, rather ingeniously. This is
an experience which is correctly labeled as "anubhavaika-vEdyamu". I have
seen him doing this, and was amazed at his dexterity, and musical virtuosity.
If a local lady singer is available, he would be able to duets. From all
your favorite Telugu and Hinmdi, old movies.
And as a bonus, you may ask him about his rather famous father,
Kodavatiganti Kutumba Rao.
Please reply to me, personally, and not to TELUSA and/or SCIT. Thanks.
