For some reason WIPRO software is not that popular/available here in US.
I think I have heard of it, but haven't come across it.

Not being RIT-like, or RIT-compatible is a drawback, I think. while RIT is
of relatively recent vintage, that form of transcription is more or less
what we have been implicitly using for a number of years, before even
computers.

I am not sure about the nature of "Telugu Typewriting key sequences",
and their "ease-of-learning". For some reason, telugu typewriters never
developed sufficiently. The most recent type-written telugu letter (sent
by C. Narayana Reddy, for some TANA souvenir, not the recent) had very
poor type quality. With the advent of computers, perhaps efforts in
improving typewriters fell by the wayside.

While all the above are my speculations, I would certainly like to
know the real scoop. And also on the WIPRO software, and its availability,
and pricing.

Kidambi Raghunath of Telugu Jyoti (NJ/NY), and T. Narayana Reddy of
Telugu Paluku (Australia) seem to be using the same software, developed
by Vision Systems. Any connection between this and WIPRO?
