Yes. I was there. Unfortunately, all the tapes, audio and/or videos from the
the Chicago meeting(at Bapu's place)did not reach the folks at virasam
at the right time. Also, I think some tapes were either lost or the audio
in them was awful! I think, the lecture and Q & A were reproduced primarily
from the video tape; courtesy velcEru naaraayaNa raavu! ( hey! if I am
wrong, don't correct me in public!!)
Several other questions, answers, and SreeSree's jokes were lost too!
Further more, SS's lectures at several other places in the USA did not
see the light!
The statement about Romanizing the Telugu script appeared in 'praja' by
volume 19. It was in a long response to a question from Koneru
Nagabhushanam(The lecture part appeared in the upanyaasaalu volume.)
I quote SreeSree on Romanization of Telugu script: "manamEdO manci mutyaallanTi
aksharaalani senTimenTal aTTaachmenT koncem vadulukoni inTarnEshanal
rOman lipini teesukunnaamanTE manaki emtO vupayOgam. kaakinaaDa ani vEsaam

naagara lipilO raasi, avE aksharaalu maLLee telugu lipilO raasee... railvay

the ease in learning by children, ease in publishing, etc.
Regards.
