Yes. I would gladly do it at your request.

But, let me digress before I ramble off!
This thread shows how time flies off for me and
my contemporaries! I am constantly reminded of a couple
of lines from TSE:

I grow old ... I grow old...
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.

Let me cut the digression and ramble on!!

"---The proverb I read and told by my grandfather was
 " EgAnI vedhavaki dammiDi kshavaram"---"

It is the other way round. "dammiDee munDa (or vedhava) ki
yEgaaNee kshavaram." yEgaaNee is equivalent to two dammiDeelu.

1 dammiDee = 1 dammiDee
2 dammiDeelu = 1 yEgaaNee (also known as Dabbu)
3 dammiDeelu = 1 kaanee
2 kaanulu = 1 ardhaNaa
4 kaanulu = 1 aNaa
2 aNaalu = 1 bEDaa
2 bEDaalu = 1 paavalaa
4 aNaalu = 1 paavalaa
2 paavalaalu = 1 ardha roopayi
2 ardha roopaayalu = 1 roopaayi

In addition, to save metal, the government brought 'cilli kaanee'
into circulation; a kaanee with a hole in the middle!

"ee vedhava, cilli kaanee ki kooDaa koragaaDu" was a common
saying in the affluent cirkar districts!

Another correction (not intended for Sree Ravi): It was
Jalasootram rukmiNeenaatha Saastry's parody on anushTup
that referred to aNaa, etc.

Probably this may be my first post to telusaa which can be
construed as completely non-controversial!

Is it?

Best wishes
