I am not really sure I follow what the thread is (joining as I did 
in the middle) but in the copy of "Sree madaandhra mahaa bhaagavatam"
published by Vavilla ...  & sons I saw this version of this poem :

"bAla rasAla sAla nava pallava kOmala kAvya kanyakan 
 kULala kicci yappaDupu kUDu bhujincuTa kanTe satkavul
 hAlikulaina nEmi gahanAntara sImala kanda mUlakou
 ddAlikulaina nEmi nija dAra sutOdara pOshaNArthamai"

I dont remember if this was in the preface (obviously written by a
modern (1930-1950) vyAkhyAna karta), or in the text itself !
Is there a mention of this version in Arudra's tome ?!

sharaa: what is the meaning of "auddaalikulu" ?
