Dark skinned heroines

I think being ugly is a bigger problem than being black. ko.ku. tried
to throw some thoughts on being ugly. If I remember right, he hasn't
addressed the problem to his own satisfaction.
But are there any heroines where no apologies are made for being
black.Perhaps draupadi fits the bill.

If I remember right, oorvaSi faces lot of problems because she is
black. I didn't see gOranta deepam, but sangeeta is portrayed
black in mutyAla muggu and yes he makes no apologies for that.
BTW, can anybody provide me a quote indicating that Arjuna is black.
