Dear Sir: There is a distinction of 'meDa' (greevamu) and 'kanThamu'
(gaatramu). The dorsal part (pRsTha bhaagamu) in between the head and
shoulders is called 'meDa' (neck) and the same on ventral side (udara
bhaagamu) is called 'kanThamu' (tone). In view of the fact that both of
them have different and distinct functions, 'sugreevuDu' can't be
substituted for 'sugaatruDu'. Of course, a person can be both though.

Disclaiming the title of 'yati panDit', I know that in the vargas of 'ka,
ca, Ta, ta and pa' the last letter of each varga can't form 'yati
maitri' with the rest.
