I had difficulty in getting telusa mail and started looking at the archives
and discovered that your posting is there in only one of the two archives.
After seeing your long post, I do not think there is really a serious
disagreement between us on any of the major issues here though I cannot
agree with every minor detail but let us not worry about it . I have
nothing against modern poetry. When I said mediocre, it is mediocrity
irrespective of the meter (i.e.., in chando too). I have referred to the
evolution of poetry myself in another posting. I also said everyone has a
choice. An objective discussion is always welcome. Hatred and intolerance
are difficult to live with. So are harsh words. I still do not see validity
in any one saying, "One should not write this or that kind of poetry".
