Somewhere I remember having read that
it was Sri Adi Shankaracharya who introduced buddha as one of the ten
incarnations of vishnu. The intention was to reduce the conversion of
Hindus to buddhism. 

Is it in any of the books of Kavisamrat Vishwanatha (Purana vaira grandha
maala)? I do not remember where!

Any body having info?
