  This is a song that I wrote long ago.   Since it is appropriate for 
the season, I am posting it now.  Hope you will enjoy!

   bhUtalamunu swarseema cEyagaa      |  to transform the Earth into a Heaven! 

  "nUtana varshapu prathamakiraNamulu | "The first rays of the New Year 
   gOcarincenu tUrupudesalO           |  made their appearance in the East;  
   aviyE mana navajeevanarEkhalu      |  they are the rays of our new life, 
   aviyE madilO aaSaarEkhalu          |  they are the rays of hope in our 
                                            heart.

  "kollalugaa kusumince taruvula      | "On the trees have blossomed in 
                                            abundance 
   krotta ETi bangaarupoovulu         |  the New Year's golden flowers; 
   gusagusalaaducu prasarincenu vaDi  |  With murmuring sounds the gentle 
					    breeze is 
   aasumamadhurima mandapavanamu      |  rapidly spreading the aroma of those 
                                            flowers.
