telusa-scit@smartcad.me.wisc.edu.
There will be no mention of telusA in the articles posted to SCIT.
For all articles sent to telusa-scit, the reply-to field will be set
to telusa-scit@smartcad.me.wisc.edu.
Basically, it means that any reply to such articles will be
automatically sent to SCIT too. You will have to explicitly reset the
reply-to field if you do not want your reply to be posted to SCIT.
Thanks are due to Suresh for setting up a cute caution note.
***
CAUTION: Using "r"eply option to reply this mail will post your
article to SCIT newsgroup also.
***
The above caution note will appear at the beginning of an article to
warn you that a reply to the article will be cross-posted to SCIT.
You will need to modify the reply-to field for such articles, if you
do not want your reply to be sent to SCIT. And there is another
point, if you want your replies to be sent to SCIT please make sure
that there is no quoted matter pointing to telusa in your reply. This
is only till the time telusa comes out into the open. Till the likes
of telusa can walk around SCIT without any concern :-)
Coming to the issue of posting *all* the articles to SCIT. Well, I
suppose that is beyond telusA. People have their own personal reasons
for not wanting to post to SCIT and I think we should respect their
views for what they are. It has been told that posting to SCIT has
its own benefits. And people are posting to SCIT to prove just that.
In due course of time, "when SCIT becomes a lovely place that it used
to be", there will be converts. Converts who will post to SCIT on
their own volition. Until then I think we should let things as they
are. I will still be collecting votes though. From the archives (old
posts to telusa) the articles of only those people voting YES will be
posted to SCIT. The necessary header cleaning will be done before
such a posting is done. My current idea is to post articles on SCIT
subject by subject. Please send any suggestions you have regarding
this.
Thanks again to Suresh for taking the initiative and coming up with
the setup.
Ratnakar.
