Birth place of Netaji to be declared national monument
CUTTACK : The birth place of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the hero of
Indian freedom struggle, in Oriya Bazar here will soon be declared a
national monument by the union government, according to the BJP MP,
Bhartruhari Mahtab. Mahtab told reporters here yesterday that the union
human resources development minister, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi had
assured that the building would be converted into a museum and given the
status of a national monument. A special commemorative stamp on the
building - Janakinath Bhavan - would also be released at the earliest,
reports PTI.

In Andhra Pradesh, in addition to so many historical sites and monuments, there
are houses and properties of so many freedom fighters, poets, and writers.
Are any of these converted in to museums or paid any attention to upkeep them?
For example Kandukuri's house in RJY and Gurajada's house in VZM.
Who takes of their manuscripts? Are they in one place (if any left)?
