You said it, sir. That's why he is a master story teller and character
sculptor. While it is a great pleasure to read SreepAda's stories, if one
is aspiring to write stories, there is the problem of despairing that one
can never write like that! Like Jaruk Sastri commented - 'katha aMTE
SreepAda lAgA rAyalEka pOtE, iMka rAyaTameMduku ani mAnESAnu'!

Rhetoric aside, character sculpting is only one of the several fascinating
and delightful qualities of SreepAda's stories. On the other hand, I don't
think (strictly personal opinion) there was another telugu fiction writer
who handled that quality as well as he did. While 'kalupu mokkalu' is a
great story, my favorites are 'vaDla giMjalu' and 'annaMta panee jarigiMdi'
stories. The character treatment in both these stories is simply
unparalleled. And of course, varNanalu! He doesn't need to write paragraphs
- captures the essence of the scene in one or two sentences.

Jagdish, in case you have 'vaDlagiMjalu' handy, I'd appreciate it if you
can write something about it.
