aaTa. janani samskRtambu sakala bhaashalakunu
          dESabhaashalandu telugu lessa
          jagati talli kanTe saubhaagya sampada
          mechchu TaaDubiDDa mElugaadE!

Isn't the above poem from vinukonDa vallabharaaya's _kreeDaabhiraamam_?
A quick reply, confirming or denying it, is appreciated!

I don't have my copy of the article:

Coconut and Honey: Sanskrit and Telugu in medieval Andhra
     Social Scientist, Vol 23 No. 10-12, Oct-Dec 1995, pp 24-40.

readily in hand, where Prof. VNR gives a new interpretation to the above
poem. Well, thats digressing from my orig. query! I will post his
interpretation on the list some time, if time permits. But for the time
being pl. help me with a "quick" reply.

Thanks and Regards,
Sreenivas
