The intent, I agree, is clear. We are now trying for a nicer form of the
poem.
The change you suggested 'sammatammuna' in place of 'nammakamuna' appeals
better. The word is also sounds more beautiful in the context. But the
end of the padam can still be improved.
'modalaye' is less agreeable than 'modalAye' or 'modalayye' but the latter
forms have an extra char and don't suit. ('dRtam(nu)'at the end only increases
the problem by adding another letter)
What about the following?
sammatamuna ninka sAgu telusa (short sa is a limitation. but not a serious one)
sammatamuna telusa sambhavince
sammatamuna telusa sAguninka
or,
ASa galigi telusa yavatarince
ASa tOTi telusa yavatarince
(using 'hope' instead of 'trust' or 'agreement' is more polite. isn't it?)
