You are all aware that there were two SahasrAvadhanas in this year.
In January Sri Medasani Mohan presented one SashsravadhanaM. I gave
you samasyalu from that sahasrAvadhana.
In this month there was one mahAsaharAvadhana by Madugula Nagaphani
Sarma presented at Hyderabad lalitakalAtOraNaM.
I enjoyed this sahasrAvadhana by frequently flying down to Hyderabad.
Again I must say it is a grand feast for the literary lovers.
Unlike Sri Mohan's Tirupati sahasravadhana, in Hyderabad sahasravadhana
there were 1018 (9 more) pruccakas. And there is a new Item "geetaM".
There was no "GhanTA nAdaM" (ringing bell) in both avadhanas.
Both avadhanaMs were completed successfully. Ofcourse they should be
flawless. Otherwise why is there Goddes Saraswati!
Longtime back Sri Patibanda Suryanarayana Rao praised kopparapukavulu
in seesa padyam. I like the way it is said, and it is applicable to
all avadhanis.

Highlights:

1) On saturday evening a Karnatic Sangit vidvan has asked Sri Sarmagaru
to compose one "geetaM" on "bhAratamAta". After hearing the song audience
clapped their hands in applause at least for 15 minutes (no flatter).

Sri Eluripati Ananta Ramaiah garu, the sandhanakarta, praised
this event by saying that Goddes Sarasvati has demonstrated that how
beautifully she can sing.
2) On Sri Cittibabu :
You must have read Sri PALANA's message on TELUSA regarding Cittibabu's
demise. That day someone has asked Sri Nagaphani Sarma to compose an
elegy on Cittibabu.
Here it goes :

ciTTibAbu pilice cEVeeNagA mArci
ciTTibAbu janma Sreekarammu !
Goddess Saraswati kept her Veena aside thinking that it is useless,
and called Cittibabu (from earth) and transformed him as her Veena.
Now Cittibabu's life is in Saraswati's hand.
Isn't this a beautifull composition. It is Sri Cittibabu who can play
"kOkila" on VeeNa. There is no one who can play Veena like Cittibabu.
