given the evidence of the past few months, such a hope
finds only a pessimistic corner in me.
on moderation:
in my proposal, based on r.s.cricket and r.s.c.info,
s.c.i.t remains an unmoderated group. anyone who does
not wish to see a moderated scit would still be satisfied.
infact, s.c.i.t.extracts is not a group to which original
posts are solicited. only, those articles, which already
appeared in scit and conform to the charter of scit shall
be allowed into scit.extracts. obviously, the day scit
gets better, there will be no need for s.c.i.t.ex. until then,
most ex-sciters who depend on the digest now, would have
an opportunity to get back to a newsgroup format.
