You are absolutely correct that some one who is bent on hijacking the
newsgroup can do so even after automoderation. Our effort is obviously
not a complete solution to the problem. However, when we discussed with
other SCITers, we learnt that there is not much support for moderation.
Moderation by one or many brings in a separate set of questions and
problems. The present solution will cause inconvenience to crossposters
and they will hopefully find it not worth their while to post on SCIT.
