Transition to chandObadda rachana

>From the files of my father. I have provided some examples of his
non-chandO padyaalu or matraachandO padyaalu with buDabuDakkala vaaDu,
sainikuniki patyuttaramu and hanpanna, mostly to show his versatility in
these. Obviously he enjoyed writing those. He has translated using
maatraa chandassu, the thousand tamil paasurams of the greate ShaTagOpa
mahaamuni. I am still trying to get that published in a book form. ( He
learned tamil only after he retired and then translated many of Vaishanva
tamil prabhandas in simple telugu- one of them is the Andaal's tiruppavai,
published by TTD - Pillalamarri is preserving that book! ) When I
present some of his anuvaada kavitvamulu, I will present some of his
ShaTagOpa vaakJarii. ( By the by in the Vaishnava temples, as in
VenkatEswara temple, the priest brings a ShaTagOpam to put on ones head -
That is this ShaTagOpa mahaamuni who carries Lord's feet on his head -
this, I believe, was installed as a part of ritual by Sri Ramanujaachaarya,
who, as the story goes, established convincingly that the idol on the seven
hill is that of Lord Vishnu and not of Lord Shiva or Devi.)

As I move more towards his chandObadda rachana, the following khanDana
provides a transition and also his own impression about the trends in the
padya rachana. This was first presented on caDapa AIR radio in march 1982.
If you are a strong proponent of non-chandO padyaalu, you have to read at
your risk, but no flames please. His definition of good kavita is that
which melts the heart - hrudayaani karaginchEdi - madiki chamtkR^iti
kaliginchEdi - nothing to do whether it is chandO or non-chandO. He has
written both. You will find here diirga samaasaalu intentionally used to
make a point and lot of sanskrit words. If you can enjoy it that is good,
otherwise the delete button is always there at your disposal.

This is dialogue between one rasikuDu and a kavi. Discussion is about the
trends in poetry. As usual transcribed from a tape. some errors are also
related to my listening comprehension.
