The version by Sri r.k. pillala marri seems to be correct
to my knowledge. I have come accross the same several times
with that text.

Also corect is his explanation of the poem.

The story is the king, tirumala raaju has supposedly
requested the poet to render a poem praising him.

The poet took advantage of the fact that the king was
quite illiterate.
