In my recent trip home, I located a thin book with the title,
"aandhra lakshaNa saaramu" by Sree chilukoori paapayya Saastri.
I had found it to be very useful years ago to "satisfy" my Telugu
teachers, but have only just now discovered how invaluable
the little information it contained is! It is not very detailed, but
has a lot of basic definitions and rules of chandassu.

I wonder if there would be any interest in this material in this
forum. I mean, we come across a lot of discussion on chandassu and
some of it goes over my head because I only have a vague sense of some
of the details (e.g., yati). The recent 3-part posting by Sree
vissaavajjhala has been very enlightening to me; yet I didn't find the
basics anywhere in the archives or in the recent postings.

If there is much interest, and if I can find the time, I will post the
stuff.

PS: A very curious thing I just noticed about this book is, while its
contents are in and about nothing but Telugu, the cover was ALL IN
ENGLISH SCRIPT! It is an old book, and I conclude it must have been
from the days of the British influence; there is no date printed on it!
